CASE STUDY · 001 · LEGACY CONVERSATION
A mixed-heritage family navigating different expectations
SITUATION
A British father and Thai mother with two adult children living in different countries. Each family member had very different assumptions about what the other wanted, and those assumptions had never been tested in conversation. The family had been in Bangkok for 22 years.
WHAT WAS DONE
A single three-hour legacy conversation session, held at the family home with all four family members present. The facilitator used a structured framework covering personal wishes, significant possessions and what each person would like the others to know. Ground rules were set at the start to keep the conversation constructive.
RESULT
The family uncovered several significant misalignments in their assumptions — calmly and without conflict. A written summary was delivered the following day. The family subsequently arranged for their own legal consultation, better equipped with a clear shared understanding of what each person wanted.

CASE STUDY · 002 · ESTATE INVENTORY
An elderly parent and their adult children preparing in advance
SITUATION
A 78-year-old widower with three adult children, two living overseas. The family owned a large property in Bangkok with many decades of accumulated furniture, art and personal effects. No one in the family had a clear picture of what existed or what its significance was to the family member who had assembled it.
WHAT WAS DONE
An estate inventory workshop conducted over a half-day at the family home, covering the main living areas. A room-by-room inventory was created with photographs of key items. The workshop coordinator worked alongside the homeowner to note which items held particular meaning or history.
RESULT
A 47-page illustrated inventory covering the main areas of the property, including notes on provenance and personal significance for key items. The digital and printed versions were shared with all three children. The homeowner described the outcome as "finally having put things in order."

CASE STUDY · 003 · RECORDS DIGITIZATION
A family with decades of scattered paperwork
SITUATION
An adult daughter managing the household of an aging parent. Important papers — property documents, insurance policies, bank correspondence, family records — were spread across multiple boxes and filing systems accumulated over 40 years, some of it in Thai and some in English.
WHAT WAS DONE
Documents were collected, sorted by category, scanned at high resolution and organized into a structured digital archive. A clearly labeled folder hierarchy was created for each document category. Delivery was via encrypted link within six working days. All originals were returned.
RESULT
A searchable archive of 340 documents, organized into twelve categories and accessible from any device. The daughter described being able to find any document within seconds where previously it would have taken an hour or more. The family subsequently used the archive when working with a legal adviser.
